I left Wednesday for a last minute trip to Chicago for 5 days! My great friend Mikkel got last minute tickets to Oprah . I am a huge Oprah fan and I love being spontaneous! Mikkel has been living in Chicago for the past summer and she still had her apartment and car out there. We both caught a plane and headed for an adventure. Oprah was great! On her show was Justin Timberlake, Kelly Clarkson, and Reba McIntyre. I was very impressed by all of them. Never been a JT fan, but he's got some real talent. I wanted to steal Kelly's adorable dress! It was a dream fulfilled!!! It will be airing the week of September 18th, don't miss it! I also went toWICKED that night! It seriously was the best day, but I was so exhausted that I slept until noon the next day....haven't done that since college. I spent the rest of the weekend touring the city and hanging out with my girlfriend. It was so great to catch up and spend time together. I was sad to see the weekend end, but so happy to see my family!

How fun! Loved the pics... especially the famous Harpo sign. I'm sure it was hard being away from Maddy that long... but well worth the trip. Nice having connections isn't it? I'm jealous... I've always wanted to go visit the big city. Jared couldn't believe you passed up the Bears game to go to Wicked. Call me... I want to hear details!
