Egg-cited It's Easter

Easter weekend was a success and we accomplished to be everywhere and do everything. Why is life so CRAZY? We hope that once Nate gets settled in this job and our basement is finished that life will slow down. We were blessed to have both of our parents here during the weekend. Friday night we had my parents and my sister over to dye eggs. We tried a new technique...silk ties. Beautifully dyed eggs!

Our city had an Easter Egg Hunt. Nate didn't want to be like all the other parents who were putting eggs in their kid's baskets. I told him to just put a couple in so she would get the hang of it. But before we knew it all the eggs were gone and Maddy had NO eggs! Nate and went and stole a few from the 3-11 year old hunt.

We headed to Rock Canyon Park to have a picnic, easter egg hunt and then we rolled eggs. Madison got the hang of rolling eggs really fast. I think she like scooting down the hill even more!

One of Nate's callings is activities committee in our Ward. He helped with an 80's dance this weekend. I laugh so hard at him dancing that I almost peed my pants. Nate sang "Born to be Wild" it was just dreadful! We had a good time with Ang & Jimmy.

Easter Morning was wonderful and it was such a fun parent moment to watch Maddy open her basket. We had wonderful Easter dinner with the Laird family. We had yet another egg and then a money hunt. It was also Lauren's birthday. Quite the day I tell you!

I love these pages- they are so cute! Are you going to print them off and put them in a book? So do you guys use the same baskets every year? Is that why Nate's basket is older than you? That sounds like a fun tradition. Same with the rolling eggs- that hill by your house is perfect for doing that!

Love the pictures of you two from the dance! I've been wearing my bangs like I did at the dance all week- it's my new doo! (J/K!!)

What a fun Easter! Your picture pages are really cute. You'll have to teach me how to do all of that stuff one of these days. I love Nate's Easter basket! That is funny. The dance pics remind me of our Halloween pics from a few years ago, not that they're the same or anything, but just you guys always have the greatest costumes and you get really into it. It's so funny! That's what life is all about! Living in the moment!!!
