While we've been home...

Traveling became second nature to our family last year. We enjoyed it and took every excursion that came up...work related or not. It got to the point that we stopped taking the suitcases downstairs to put into storage. We found a more convenient spot under the bed. As I was vacuuming the other day I bumped one of those suitcases and thought to myself, we have been home more weekends this year then we ever were in 2008. I believe it's time to take the suitcases downstairs again. It just seems weird, but also refreshing! Traveling with a newly potty trained little one doesn't seem very appealing anyway.

This past weekend we took a walk down a muddy canal dirt road. The little explorer Sophia(my niece) started trudging through all the puddles. Maddy was a little hesitant at first but then gladly splashed her way through every single one of them.

Every mother knows that when your child becomes too quiet they are into something. I love the Terrific Twos!

we are approaching the "terrific twos" here...should be good times. Glad you got so much travel in, we are finally taking a good trip(not just to vegas) in 2 weeks. We are excited to get away!

You're so positive...see how you called them the "terrific twos" instead of the "terrible twos!?" I love it. I've got a 20 month old that I swear is smack dab in the middle of the "twos" and whether or not they'll be terrific or terrible is yet to be determined!:)

That is so hilarious! Your so right! Whenever they are quiet, they are totally in trouble...But when our little girl is quiet and into something, I just let her do what she needs to do so I can get a minute to do what I need to do. Then I go check on the damage :)

It was so great seeing you in the hall today! I love the picture of Maddie with the make-up. So cute! Looks like you guys have been having fun at home! It's nice to get a break from craziness (that's what traveling is, right?) Maddie is getting so big! How is Nate's new job going?

the terrific twos huh! well theres a very posative spin on it;) She is potty trained Thats must be awesome!! I have had the hardest time with Will. He was potty trained for about 2 wks then he just quite one day and that was like 6 mths ago. I have to beg and plead and bribe to get him to sit on the potty now and even then he doesn't do it more then half the time. So any advice you have I would love to get!!
