I have finally come to the realization that the holidays/vacation days are over. No one is going to make my bed or cook for me anymore. Nate took a little over two weeks of work off and it was so nice to have him home for a whole month!! Here's to a New Year and all the wonderful things that are to come. We kicked off the New Year by catching a flight to Phoenix for Eric's (Nate's brother) wedding. It felt like one party after another for four days straight! We are so elated that Darien is now part of our family!
day~1 Traveling, Bachelor/Bachelorette Party

day~2 South Mountains hike, plaid pedicures, swimming & the rehearsal dinner.
day~3 The big day started here at the Mesa Temple. The celebration moved to Villa Siena for pictures, the ring ceremony, the dinner, and the reception.
day~4 We spent most of the day at the Carroll residence watching the happy couple open presents. Hanging out on the patio embracing every ray of sunlight.
Madison soon got bored with the opening of presents. Bob (Darien's Dad) won Madison's heart when he put on "The Little Mermaid" and found a cozy blanket for her. She didn't want to leave.
Later that day we celebrated Nate's birthday....which deserves it's own post. The happy couple left for their honeymoon in Aruba. It was such a exquisite four day celebration! We flew home on Monday morning to the winter wasteland....can you tell that I'm so over winter? What a way to start the New Year! Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Eric Laird!

So sad when the holidays are over. I told Rick the 1/2 day off of work shouldn't be before the holiday but for every day the week after. It is hard for me when I am used to having him around and then all of a sudden wham back to reality!!!
I love the wedding pictures, how fun!! And I love Maddi's Sunbeam dress, what a cutie! Happy Birthday to Nate too :)
It definitely looked like an exquisite celebration. I love the plaid theme. Everything looks so beautiful. I especially LOVE your dress. What a fox :)
