Nate's Grandmother has been living in an assisted living center the past couple of years. I can understand why she can get sad in that place because her independence is lost. A couple of months ago I decided she needed something cheery in her room. So I began the journey of making my first pieced quilt and pillowcase. Let's just say I was sewing the binding on the way to her birthday party. We went and made her bed so that when she came home from her 88th birthday party that she would be surprised. We hope it continues to keep her warm as the seasons began to change. Happy Birthday Grandma!
