eighteen

Nate asked what I wanted for our anniversary. After a very overcast, snowy, cold and dreary winter I wanted the sun to shine on my face. We were able to sneak away for a couple days to Scottsdale. We left our kids in Kanab for the remainder of the balloon festival. We stopped at the iconic horseshoe bend and then continued on our roadtrip through Arizona. The sun and warmth was glorious! We hiked Camelback, enjoy our resort pool & lazy river, and ate like the foodies we are!

Eighteen years married to my best friend! I’m grateful for the eternal marriage we created on that day. We have grown up together, laugh until we cried, danced in our kitchen while cooking dinner, fought over who played fairly in a game, traveled the world to some spectacular places, brought four beautiful daughters into this world, bought two precious fur babies, held hands during our neighbor walks, supported each other through our different adventures, watched countless sunsets, and cried together when we experienced heartache, death, and sickness. Love is an action. It’s selfless, generous, long suffering, forgiving, offering grace, spiritual, expanding, gratitude, humbling and absolutely beautiful when you give it to someone who fully gets YOU! I’m grateful Nate…the marriage we have built, fine tuned, and continue to protect.
