Happy Valentine's Day
Our Anniversary and Valentine's Day is just a few days apart. We have a fun weekend plans that I'm really excited for. I am so grateful for such an amazing man in my life!! I love you Nate! I hope you all have a wonderful day! Here is a tag that I got a while back. It seemed fitting for the day.
1. Where did you meet your husband?
At a get together in Provo. I was so bored that I went in the kitchen and started texting my other friends. He came in the kitchen and said "I'll be your texting buddy, what's your number?" After that we just texted for two months....we didn't talk on the phone once.
2.What was the first thing you said to your husband?
435-590-2373 (my old number)
435-590-2373 (my old number)
3. Where was your first date?
Oh, here is a story! Nate and I were suppose to get together to go to a movie. I was living in Cedar City at the time and I had come up for Easter. He was living in SLC. He called me an hour before we were suppose to meet and told me that he was running late at work with some "business documents". He called back a half hour later and said that he would just drive down to my sister's condo after he was done. I said "Let's just do this some other time, I'm just going to spend time with my family." He finally convinced me that he was on his way and that he really wanted to get together. We decided to just watch "School of Rock" at my sisters place. It was a fun night and we talked about getting together again soon. After he left I found a receipt on the table where his keys were. The receipt was to Happy Sumo and it was at the time that he was supposedly working on "Business Documents." I thought he was such a jerk to try pull something on me. I sent him a blunt text "Happy Sumo, Business Documents, Nice Nate." I was done with the jerk, but obvisously I forgave him.
4. Where was your first kiss?

4. Where was your first kiss?
On our first date...
5. Did you have a long or short courtship/engagement?
We dated for a year and we were engaged for 4 months.
6. Where did you get engaged?
We dated for a year and we were engaged for 4 months.
Nate knows how I love my parents and going home. We had a great day in Zion and then went back to my parents house. My mom is such a romantic and volunteered (meaning my dad, my mom doesn't cook) cook us a candlelight dinner. I didn't think anything of it because that's the way she is. My parents left after the food was all ready and in its place. Their waterfall was trickling down the rocks. It was a perfect night! Nate was so nervous that as he toasted he began to drink out of the glass. Then I knew something was up. After he proposed, I was so excited that I couldn't eat. I just wanted my parents to come home so that I could share the happiness with them!
7. Where were you married?
St. George Temple on February 19, 2005
8. How did your reception go?
The one in St. George was low key, exactly how I wanted it...against my mother's wishes.
The reception in Idaho Falls was beautiful.

9. How was your honeymoon?
Awesome! We were just getting into our house and so we decided to go somewhere not to far. San Francisco was perfect. Nate loved the Clam Chowder on the pier and Alcatraz. I was just happy not to be stressed!

MY Little Love BUG
Since Madison was about 6 months old we've struggled with Nap Time. She's always been so high energy that she really hates to take naps. Most of the time she doesn't take a nap, unless it's 10 minutes of beauty rest in the car. The other day was a different story when I gave her some books to read an sippy full of milk! I had to catch this RARE moment. Last week Maddy and I were in Barnes and Noble reading books. Which is one of my favorite things to do with her. She saw "You're My Little Love Bug" and started saying Ooooo and Ahhhhh. I let her down and she went straight for the book. It's a really cute book that you cut out a picture of them and stick the clear sleeve of the book. They can see the picture of themself throughout the book and it also plays music.

What a fun blog! I just think it is so funny you married Nate because I have known both of you for a LONG TIME;-) I actually really don't know nate, but I know who he is and saw him a ton at USU!
That was cute! Thanks for sharing. Happy Anniversary!
Happy Valentines day and Anniversary to you guys! I hope you have a great little get a way!
I loved this post!!! So cute and fitting for the day. It was fun to read up on everything. So, Hi... how have you been? I will have to look for that book for Maliya... she loves books. Wish we had a barnes and noble here. What are your anniversary plans? MIss ya!
That was so much fun reading about you and Nate, because I didn't know you guys all that well when you were dating. Nate looks so young :) What a cute couple you are. I hope you guys enjoy your get-away this weekend!
P.S. You haven't seen Fool's Gold yet, have you????
That was fun to read! You always had great stories to tell me when you guys were dating! I hope you have a great Valentine's Day and a fun Anniversary weekend! Jason doesn't get home til 8 tonight, so we are just going to celebrate everything (anniversary and Valentine's Day) on Saturday.
Oh I feel your pain, Trey is not a napper either. I've finally got him to where he'll nap at least ONCE (in the morning) for a couple of hours, but Cydnee gave up on naps early so he probably will too. It always kills me when I hear of other people who have kids who are still napping at like 3 and 4 years old. Do they know how easy they've got it??
Your blog is SO much fun Lacey.! The pictures and stories are very entertaining. Maddy is getting so big.! We're really glad we had you all here before Christmas, we really enjoyed the time with everyone, even though it was short. What a neat thing you all got to do. I know Darci and Josh had a great time (minus the Mexican Mambo.!)
Take care.!
Lisa
I loved reading about you and Nate. What a cute story.
I can't believe that your power was out that long! Ours was out for about 20 min. CRAZY WEATHER!!!! Glad to hear that you and your little family are okay, though.
Cute story! Happy Anniversary! What a crazy storm story! Cute pics!
I want to know the reason Nate was at Happy Sumo... It better had been a good excuse! :) That's crazy about the storm. My friend here has a sister in Alpine and she has kids that ended up sleeping at their school. Unheard of! I'm glad the snow stayed clear of us!
Ok, I am way behind on your posts. I love this one about your courtship with Nate. I can't believe I haven't asked you about your dating story. What was the story behind Happy Sumo- you'll have to tell me how Nate convinced you to give him another chance. That's so funny! That is so cute of Maddy. I don't know how you do it with no naps. I look forward to nap time everyday so I can get stuff done that Sophie doesn't let me do. You could have come over to our house the other night. I can't believe how many stories I've heard of stranded people. Crazy! We played games on Jimmy's laptop and then all slept in the same bed- except Sophie. She went to bed at 7 just like every other night. Hope you had a fun weekend. Happy Annv.!
Hey, so i love your blog everytime i see it. You make it so dang cute. I was wondering if you could email me on how you do it or if it is even possible. Let me know Thanks

I loved your cute post about you and Nate. What fun memories...and I think he still owes you for lying to you on your 'first date.' Your family is absolutely darling. Hope you are enduring this freezing weather like we are!
Where was the picture with the waterfall and palm trees taken? I think I took some bridal pictures there too (if it is in St. George). Who was your photographer?
Very cute pictures by the way!
That was a fun blog to read. I got to know a lot more about you and Nate. The picture of Madison sleeping is so cute. Benson has days where he won't nap too. I need some time to myself---how do you do it everyday?
