A little over a year ago my family decided to plan a trip to Rocky Point Mexico for Christmas. We wanted to do a more service orientated vacation as a family. We learned about a Children's Home in Rocky Point with 31 kids ranging from 2-14. We've spent all year getting ready for this trip and we are so grateful for all the gracious donations we received. There were so many people who are trying to make ends meet, but gave so much. You don't know how you've touched my life. Thank You! We will be driving 6 cars into Mexico to get everything there. I'm so excited to go and help with whatever they need. Nate left for Kanab tonight and I'll fly out in the morning. I couldn't imagine driving 15 hours one-way with Maddy!
It's been such a different Christmas Season for me. I've been driving Nate insane because I can't think of one thing that I really need or even want right now. I've been to the mall about 6 times in the past week trying to help him with ideas, but still no luck. I'm too excited for all these little kids that I'm about to meet. Below is a picture of a little girl at the Children's Home. Christmas is not the material things. As I look at this little girls face....the true meaning is beaming back at me!
