Take a Hike

Nate's proposed title of this post was "To the bat cave Robin." Nate took work off this morning and we headed to Timp Caves. We've wanted to go from some time now and in just two weeks it closes for the season. It was definitely worth the 1.5 miles straight up (1,100 ft). The history behind these caves is intriguing and the formations are a must see.
Just one little drop...he's a little thirsty from the hike.
Heart of the Cave.
nickel has made this formation turn green
They call this "Cave Bacon".

She just wore herself out hiking so she slept the whole way down.
Nothing like a free ride!

That looks like a lot of fun! We've never been there- seems like you picked a great time to go- not to hot to hike up there and not too cold. I've heard the cave is chilly inside. How nice would it be to just take a nap on the way down! Little ones are so lucky!!

How fun that you got to go. I have really wanted to go this year too, but have not had the chance. Oh well, I guess there is always next year.

Life has been CRAZY!! I am almost done with all of the unpacking and I swear once I am we are going to get together. Let's just hope it hasn't snowed by then and we can still do something fun outside.

I love all of the leaves changing. I love the pic of Nate and Madison with her asleep... that pic made me glad I'm a mom and not a dad. Dad's always get the job of packing the babies :)

I've hear Timp Caves is a must see. It may be a little too late this season, considering all the snow on Timp.
P.S. I love Maddy's new pictures. Too cute!
