I've been having serious issues with Windows Vista again....anyone feeling my pain??? After a couple of hours of trying to get it going without having it freeze up I almost threw it through the window! I'm switching back to XP the moment I get home. I should have done it six months ago. So I'm a little behind on posting and I've got so many blogs to catch up on.
We headed down south for the week. Nate had a demo in Price and so we took the scenic route to Kanab. I haven't been down HWY 89 in years, it took me down memory lane. My family would drive the 11 hours from Montana to Kanab every summer to spend a week or two visiting family. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing all those stories with Nate as we enjoyed the scenery and historical landmarks. We stopped at the house where Butch Cassidy was born and raised. He didn't believe me at first until I convinced him that there wouldn't be a donation box at some rundown shack. Why would I lie? Nate was so intrigued by it that he went and rented the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." Too bad my Grandpa Bentley wasn't still alive because he read every book on Butch.
On Saturday we headed back up to Bryce Canyon because my Idahoan hadn't seen it yet. Madison had her first ice cream cone. She would smear it all over her face and then try to lick it off. I wish I would have had my camera even the tourist were dying laughing.
Big Rock Candy Mountain. As a child I loved this place because I really thought that the candy they sold in their gift shop came from that mountain.
Happy Mother's Day! I'm so blessed to have such great mothers in my life. I love you!! My Dad and hubby made us a wonderful steak dinner. We took Madison to my Grandparents Ranch to help feed a very active calf whose mother died the day after he was born. Our car got a complete lick down from all the cows...gross! Madison's biggest fascination was with Margiequa their horse. She tried to give him kisses!
Nate has been in Vegas for the week while I stayed with my parents. I'm glad I didn't go with him because Madison has had the stomach flu the past couple of days. Although I've been a little bummed not being able to see a few friends, I didn't think they find me being covered in vomit very appealing!! Oh, the joys of being a mother!

super cute pics! I used to think the candy came from big rock candy mountain too. How funny!
That was an awesome trip babe! I love you!
Hey Lacey, I left a message for you today and now I know why you weren't home. I'm sorry about Maddie being sick, that is no fun!! Have you started reading Running with Angels yet? It has made me do the ugly cry a few times and I'm still not done yet. How is The Host? If it's good, can I borrow it when you are done? I am borrowing Michelle's, if you need to borrow Running with Angels. We need to have a meeting next week, let me know what morning would work for you besides Mon. It's that time again for another activity. This one should be a lot easier though!
No, we don't want vomit... but can't wait to see you sometime soon!
Sounds like you had a great trip and a nice mother's day. Bryce Canyon looks beautiful- perfect weather. Maddy is getting big. She is so cute. I bet she loved being around all the animals.

Hi friend! I'm so sad I didn't get to see you when you came down... but I am glad that Maddy didn't come over with the flu...we are sick of being sick. I'm up at my parents right now... and really behind of catching up on everyone's blog. I'll have to call you to catch up sometime. HOpe you are all doing good and Maddy is feeling better. Miss you!
So I'm sad we didn't get to see you guys(I hope you got my message through Camie, sorry!). Maybe it was a good thing though cause my boys were a little under the weather too. Looks like you had a fun time, minus the vomit. That stinks, I hope she's feeling better. I am coming up your way sometime in the near future so be expecting a call from me. We will get together eventually!!
I'm glad you got to go with Nate this time instead of having to stay home! It looks like you guys made the most of your trip!
Looks like a fund trip, except for your little girl being sick. You always look so cute in your pictures, I love you clothes.
